The CA Regulatory Sandbox is designed for innovative ICT solutions in Kenya. Review the criteria below to determine if your application qualifies.
Who Can Apply?
The CA Regulatory Sandbox is available to applicants who:
- Have a company incorporated in Kenya or are licensed by an ICT market regulator in an equivalent jurisdiction.
- Intend to offer an innovative product, solution, or service in Kenya following a successful exit from the Regulatory Sandbox.

Requirements Checklist
Ensure your application includes all the following documents to be considered complete.
- Fully filled and submitted Online application form
- Certified copies of all registration documents
- Certified list of directors (if applicable)
- Certified details of the proprietors/founder(s) if the applicant is not an incorporated company
- CV's for all founders and key Management personnel
- Outline the business model for the product, solution or service
- The applicant shall also submit a projected plan and clear strategy for exiting the Regulatory Sandbox
Upon receipt of an application, the Authority shall communicate with the applicant within Fourteen (14) working days. Subsequently, the Authority shall review the applications on a rolling basis.
